Squatters

                   (For My Daughter)

Self-Respect must be maintained,
Opportunities to do so manifest in life's everyday, mundane little choices.
Use it like you don't have to wash it.
Clean it like your favorite TV Star is going to eat off it,
Die like you wanted to live,
There's always a bug on a wall to kill.
Forgive Yourself
Have marshmallows and whip cream in your hot chocolate.
You deserve it.
Be good to yourself.
Fully use your life,
Full Yes's, No's, and I don't knows.
If you hear an excuse,
Excuse.
Speak for yourself
Replace "you don't" with "I feel"
Don't Kick A Skunk
      Average isn't enough.
Careful not to fall in love with potential.
You don't have time to mother someone else's kid.
Make the most of what you have
left.
Careful not to get caught in "I know"
Find Out,
 Discover Another Way
Make room for miracles.
Leave if there is nothing
left.
Live Light, Some Will, Some Wont,
So What.
Breath and Show Gratitude for All that you experience.
And no matter what
Fly
            Fly
                    Squatters
                              Butterfly.

My Favorite Playwright is Tennessee WilliamsMy Edison Community College Acting teacher Richard Westlake (R.I.P May 8th 2010 Obituary here) turned me on to his plays. He was a great teacher, easy going and funny.  He encouraged me to sing.  I performed my first and only musical under his direction.  A My Name Is Alice was the musical.  My review of it is here.I played the demigod and an aging woman.  Acting I, II, and III along with theaterproduction with Dick Westlake was a great learning experience in 1999-2002.

"Blow out your candles Laura."~line from Glass Manergie (my 1999 play reports here)

My relationship to my dolls remind me of Laura's relationship to the glass manergie

I AM LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LIVE THE CONCEPT OF THIS PAGE MONEY IS MANURE.

SINCE I WAS BORN IN POVERTY AND MANAGED TO REMAIN SO I HAVE LEARNED THE VALUE OF TIME.

I HAVE TAUGHT MY GIRL TO WATCH HER MONEY AND ALWAYS FIND OUT AND KNOW:

HOW MUCH SHE NEEDS,  HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH, AND HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH.

IT'S A RATIO!

Metamorphosis MONEYISMANURE.COM is dedicated to anyone who feels or felt like a butterfly pollinating a rock.

My 4 year old said her name was squatters butterfly one day during role play.  I laughed at the irony. Sounds like stealing to me.

Squatters do not own, rent or otherwise have permission to use the land they occupy. Yet they don't mind couching it and claiming it!

Squatter Doll ~ Tacit and her device

ITS IN THE SILENCE

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
